Get Involved with Fairtrade Redbridge

Fairtrade Fortnight takes place every year and brings together lots of fun activities taking place nationwide. But there are lots of ways you can support Fairtrade at other times; why not organise a coffee morning, a Fairtrade stall or tasting event in your community group, mosque or school? There are lots of free resources to help you and we can help publicise your events.

What you can do...

As a resident...

  • Look for products with the Fairtrade Mark- The only guarantee that products are fairly traded

  • Choose Fairtrade at work - for your meetings or tea clubs
  • Lobby your local supermarket or shops. If you don't see Fairtrade products on the shelf, ask!
  • If you want to do more, there are ways you can help. Please read below

As a retailer...

  • Check your own supplier for its range of Fairtrade options.
  • A wide selection of stockists selling products is available for wholesale retailers by clicking here.
  • Expand your range through other suppliers of wholesale products - - a list is available from here.

As a faith group...

As a school/youth group...

  • Order a (free)Schools Action Guide, with ideas of what you can do in class/staffroom email us to request one.
  • Display posters/leaflets at your Youth groups

As a Community organisation...

  • Use Fairtrade products during meetings and in the office

As a business...

If you want to do more...

If you already buy or use Fairtrade on a regular basis and you would like to get more actively involved and meet with other like minded people, then Fairtrade Redbridge group would like to hear from you!

You can contribute your time by:

  • coming along to our meetings;
  • volunteering at events;
  • using your writing skills to write newspaper articles;
  • helping to keep the website up to date; or
  • encouraging others to use Fairtrade at work, schools, community organisations and businesses.
